About this Role

Collaborator is an enterprise AI content platform built on 70 years of Magid's media expertise. We're a lean, high-output team heading into a growth phase that requires expanding into new segments and building significant new product capability. We're looking for a Senior PM to own a significant piece of the product roadmap — driving discovery into brand-new markets and translating domain expertise into shippable execution plans for major new builds utilizing AI technology. This is not a maintenance role. You'll be building the muscle for how this company does product as it scales from a single-motion, single-segment business into a multi-segment platform. This position is perfect for bold, imaginative thinkers driven by the desire to push boundaries, create change, and are rooted in excellence.

What You'll Own

Ownership rotates by strategic priority. We run planning cycles throughout the year and reprioritize roadmap ownership based on what the business needs most. Your initial focus (below) reflects the first cycle.

First cycle focus: video – validated need, undefined product

  • Partner with our in-house content and editorial experts to define what makes our video offering distinct — the market
need for video is validated, but the product itself isn't yet.
  • Expect real ambiguity: you're helping shape the "what," not just the "how" and "when," before turning it into a
    scoped, sequenced, shippable roadmap.
  • Once direction solidifies, own scoping, sequencing, engineering handoff, success metrics, and launch.

New market discovery (0-to-1) - shared responsibility, rotates by cycle

  • Run direct customer discovery into new segments when this is your cycle's priority — including conversations that require your own judgment, not just secondhand research.
  • Participate in early sales conversations in these segments to convert market signal into roadmap decisions.

Core roadmap & collaboration

  • Own your portion of the product roadmap and support the onboarding pipeline as needed.
  • Work closely with Engineering on technical feasibility and sequencing for an AI-orchestration product.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success in a tight, ongoing feedback loop — client insight feeds roadmap decisions directly, and product decisions get communicated back so CS can set expectations with clients.
  • Coordinate closely with the rest of the product team to keep the overall roadmap coherent across cycles.
  • Analyze data to provide insights into product performance and customer behavior.
  • Maintain product documentation — specs, roadmap rationale, and decision records that keep Engineering, Customer Success, and leadership aligned as the product evolves.

What We're Looking For

You likely have 4–8 years of technical product experience, but what matters more is what you've owned:

  • Proven 0-to-1 discovery experience: a track record of customer discovery into a new market, or building a product from real ambiguity rather than a defined spec.
  • Strong execution/scoping skills for 1-to-n builds: track record of turning a validated direction (even one you didn't originate) into a shipped, sequenced product, without needing to own the underlying domain expertise.
  • Comfort defining product in ambiguity, not just executing against a spec: for our first video build, the market need is validated but the product itself isn't. You'll be co-defining what makes our offering distinct alongside our in-house content and editorial experts, not just receiving a finished brief.
  • Technical fluency with AI/LLM-based products: comfortable partnering closely with engineering on a multi-model orchestration system; you don't need to write the code, but you need enough fluency to sequence and prioritize credibly.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration: comfortable synthesizing input from other teams and functions into your roadmap and working closely with peers to keep decisions aligned across a small, fast-moving team.
  • AI-native ways of working: fluent with AI-assisted spec writing, prototyping, and PM tooling; this team runs lean and agent-augmented, and we expect our product hires to model that.

Nice to Have

Not required, but a major bonus if you also have one or both of the following:

  • You've shipped video products before: direct experience building video features or products gives you a head start on the ambiguity described above.
  • You've worked in media, content, or the creator economy: familiarity with how content teams, newsrooms, or creators operate, even outside of video specifically.

Additional Information

The on-target salary for this role is $135,000 plus bonus potential. Exact salary will depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s skills, experience and other qualifications.

Benefits & Perk

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including dental + vision plans
  • Flexible paid time off policy for vacation and sick days
  • Paid holidays
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Bi-weekly companywide meeting for idea sharing and collaboration
  • Fun, engaging, confident and intelligent culture

A Note on Scope & Structure

  • This role requires range — spanning discovery into new markets, hands-on product definition for major new builds, and deep cross-functional partnership across a small, fast-moving team. You'll have real ownership from
day one, working directly with our CPO.
  • As Collaborator scales, so does the opportunity. We're building the next chapter of how this company does product, and early team members are positioned to grow with it.
